About Us
Texas Sheet Metal is privately owned and family operated. Morris R. Key founded Texas Sheet Metal in 1946. Initially, Texas Sheet Metal fabricated corrugated tanks and sold them to the farming and ranching community surrounding San Antonio. By the 1960s, fabricating commercial kitchen equipment proved to have a larger customer base. Texas Sheet Metal discovered its market niche by manufacturing custom equipment, and typically no two projects are the same. The late 1990s brought new technology and capabilities as we acquired a computer operated plasma-cutting table. The majority of our work continued to be labor intensive, but two plasma tables increased the degree of accuracy and difficultly of projects Texas Sheet Metal could perform. In the 1980s through the present, Texas Sheet Metal has experienced continual growth, and adapted to new challenges as our facility expands to meet our customer’s evolving needs.
